n/s front inner wing repair

The passenger side inner wing wasnt in good condition and appears to of never been removed from the car.

Once the wing was removed I could see the extent of the rust here:












So I began by grinding down the rust, treating, adding new metal where needed and priming:





A previous repair was cleaned up and then treated:



The box section at the rear of the wheel arch had several patches of bad rust. These were cut out and then new metal welded in place. The actual inside of this box section also contained quite a lot of dirt. This was all cleaned out prior to repair - the rust holes helping access!!



Then fully treated with POR-15:



The front of the inner arch was also badly rusted so I cut it all out in one go. This meant the airbox had to be removed from behind but also allowed me to gain access to the metal underneath this for further treatment:



Once a new patch was welded in place, the whole area was treated to a covering of POR-15, concluding the repairs needed to the inner wing.



The sill was then prepared to be fully undersealed using "Hammerite with Added Waxoil", brushed on:
