o/s front inner wing repair

The only really bad area of the drivers inner wing was at the end of the sill and where the wheel arch meets the floor (just behind where the pedals are in the car). This is an image showing how the o/s inner arch looked once the wing was removed:



As part of the o/s sill repair, the small panel at the end of the sill was removed. There had already been a patch welded here at some point in the past - which had rotted through. This patch was removed, revealing two holes into the inside of the car!

The rest of the area here was treated and then two new bits of metal added in to recover these holes. You can see this int the picture below:



Once these holes were repaired, along with the o/s sill, a new end piece was welded in place.

Luckily, the rest of the inner wing was rust free. A small patch was welded at the front chassis leg, and also a minor piece was needed at the top of the wing where the outer wing is bolted on.

All box sections here were then treated with waxoil.

The newly welded panels were then treated and POR-15'd before coating with underseal:
